Healthy Turkey Mini Meatloaf

This recipe is GREAT to prepare your food in advance for the week, cook 6 then freeze or wrap the rest for the following days. Also for a light dinner gathering.
Each loaf is about 200 calories. Low low calories & fat
Serve with a Mixed green salad or steamed veggies.

Items needed:
mixing bowl
2 muffin pans
healthy non stick cooking spray (olive oil or canola)

(Organic if possible)
1.5 pound lean ground breast of turkey
1/2 red bell pepper
1/2 yellow onion
2 egg whites
1 egg yolk
1/2 grated carrot
tbsp. chopped fresh rosemary
tbsp. chopped fresh tarragon
tbsp. chopped fresh rosemary
couple dashes white pepper
couple dashes Braggs sprinkle & spices seasoning
couple pinches poultry seasoning

Preheat oven to 325-350
Mix all ingredients together until well blended with hands or spatula
spray muffin pans with cooking spray
I use a scale and weight out 2-3 oz balls
then place in muffin pan
I make a little well and put about a teaspoon of
Trader Joes Tomato Basil Marinara or use sugar free ketcup
Bake 30-35 min. depends on how oven cooks

You can get creative with any other veggies, chilis, you can add topping after about 20 minutes of baking remove and add more sauce, or any other healthy topping then return to oven for 5-10 minutes.
Makes 12 mini loaves

I'm BACK

Hello everyone,
Sorry haven't been posting, If I get online in the morning, the next thing I do is look at the clock and the day has gone by like it's only been an hour. Then my beautiful man Greg calls to say he's on the way home. YIKES, I'm still in my jammies LOL

It's been so hot outside to keep the oven/stove on.
Also, I'm going on a cruise November 1st, to the Mexican Rivera, so I have been trying to be good to get into a bathing suit..LOL.
I'm going through the book now for a lighter meal to make. It's triple digits here in the Sherman Oaks, CA area.

Please post or email me on what you've been doing out of the book or any other reciepes you would love to share or just about life.
I can't wait for fall to cool the things down. Fall & Spring is my favorite seasons.

I promise more posting from me, between looking for a job. I would love to do this full time, or anything creative. I have so many ideas that come to me but I get so overwhelmed because which one do I do. I am that gal who wants to make my own purse line, lounge wear for woman, knit my scarves, cook, decorate. YIKES then what do I do? NOTHING
Meanwhile, my hormones or lack of seem to take over and more nothing gets done but my brain sure keeps going. If only my legs would follow. LOL
So there you have it for this afternoon, I will post later with the lighter dish I WILL create tonight.
Good Bless to you all,

I just recieved my MtAoFC yesterday

Hello everyone,
I haven't posted for a bit so sorry. Every time I get on my computer my whole day goes by.
I was on blog computer restriction. LOL I needed to do life. Reality is that we have had the fires to deal with where I'm at, I wasn't close but boy the air has been horrible, but it seems to be about 20% contained. I am praying for all effected and our amazing firefighters who are true hero's. WOW. Prayers to all of them

Back to cooking now.
I have starting reading the book from the first page and all the info is so great on the how to's, the things needed and the difference between the pans or dishes we should use in the making the wonderful recipes.
The first recipe is the Leek & Potato soup starting off with an easy one.
How is everyone doing?

Eat your way thru Paris anyone? 2010

OH OH OH, Do you have a your passion to go to Paris.
Lets do a group gathering. A lets eat our way through Paris retreat. I've never been there myself but I REALLY WANT TO GO. I can start a group to go for next year if your interested... email me.
Walk where Julia went etc.
Oh glorious cheese. One of my most favorite thing!! oh with a great bread

Happy belated Birthday to Julia Childs 8/15...

Sorry for taking a break, I have been taking care of my Mr. Blu feline who just had a major surgery so I've not been online for a little bit.

I woke up early this morning went to my favorite old fashion style bakery & restaurant “Le Pain Quotidien." for a nice coffee, then went to my local farmers market, bought some beautiful Heirloom tomotoes, fresh figs, great rosemary bread.
I'm doing my own research for my area in Sherman Oaks, Studio City & california for some speciality stores, cheese, bakery, seafood, butcher & produce.
Make friends with your local markets so they can refer what is the best to buy & for the season.
Depending on where you live buying seasonly is more cost effective, it's when they have to ship in those out of state/country items that price are much higher.

I am waiting for my Julia Childs book to come in. I tried my local bookstores but they are all back ordered. I just checked the Borders & all Julia Childs MtAoFC, are back ordered. This is spreading like WILD FIRE. So excited to see the Passion for this.
While I'm waiting for it, I'm making a list of women, or people who I can get together with.
Well I just went on Bon Appetit website to find a recipe and to my surprise a few days after I started my blog they posted their own cooking club for Julia Childs too. I knew it was Julia's birthday and I can't expect to have this idea on my own inspired by Julie Powell.
Well I'm still going to push for my blog to make it, I'm not BA, and have website YET, BUT I will keep my passion alive. .
Julia Powell you must be so proud that you started this. YES YOU did this REBIRTH.
So until my book arrives I will use the recipes on BA for now.
Please post what you are doing to create your club.
I want to put together some resources for everyone, please email me with what you find in the way of, does your area have a good cheese shop, your butcher, local produce market/growers.
Also what your planning on cooking for your first gathering, pictures would be lovely too.

My mom is now reading my blog and is excited that I am doing any writing at all.
She knows my passion for cooking & I have to tell you she is a GREAT cook.
My background in cooking is from all grandparents, mom, & just obsessing on all food shows.

At the age of 49 I still call my mother (Jeanette she lives in Sante Fe, New Mexico)
on "how do I do this, that".
I still have my own way of cooking with color, love, you can say Water for Chocolate, Amelie, & Chocolate (gosh so many good food movies), one of my other favorite inpirations for keeping my heart in the right place when I cook.
Love love love love goes into everything I create, I love when someone takes a bite of something & there is a pause, eyes closed, the head nodes and a big MMMM comes out, followed by "THIS IS GREAT".

I will be posting more now that my cat is on the healing end of his surgery. Once his poor cone on his head is removed & stops tripping over himself I'll feel better & more active on this blog.
Again, please email/post anything that your doing. I want to hear from YOU ALL.
Thank you for the emails I've recieved so far.
