I have been so inspired by Julie Powel in what she did.
So I was thinking if she her inspiration came from Julia, we are being inspired by Julie.
I would love to start a national Julie / Julia cooking club nationaly.
Cooking brings people together, so why not create a once a month day where woman, families, couples gather together to create, ignite our cooking passions or just learn how to cook.
If 2 beautiful woman can do this we can do this.
It's also a great way as well to support our local farmers markets, butchers.
The way the world is today we NEED to start empowering our communities & our relationships with others.
Bring the dollar back to our mom & pop stores.
A website to share our stories, maybe some wine pairing, desserts etc.
Maybe if Julie isn't on a whirlwind from her success she can join us however she see's fit because it's her passion that joined us all together, Oh, of course Julia Childs herself she changed the world for the american woman to create French food for themselves.
There are so many writers, chefs, foodies on the site I hope you join us as well.
I don't know all thoughts welcome.
PLEASE JUMP ON BOARD!! (the cutting board that is)
Bon Appetit,

Hello --
I'm a 70 year old former radio talk show host from Boston and Miami now living in Portland, OR. I have always been an uninspired cook during three marriages, but now have been completely motivated by J & J the movie, which I rated a solid 'A'!
Also, I have just received some difficult medical news about a chronic heart condition that has come on silently over my lifetime (mitral valve regurgitation -- a leaking valve which causes me much concern). I need to learn to cook for health, to control salt and fat, and lower blood pressure.
I'm going to put up a link to your blog so I can find it again. Look forward to hearing more about your plans!
Cordially,
Ellen Kimball

PS. You WILL get through menopause. It's not that bad and life afterwards can be absolutely wonderful!

I hope your all doing great.
Oh Ellen you are in my prayers regarding your health concerns.
I hope your going to start your local cooking club. It only takes 1start it. Look at Julie Powell. I'm very excited to get my Julia C. MtAoFC (which is back not coming fast enough)
Blessings to you all & hope to hear more from you soon. Share the post I really want people to be active in there families lives and the community.
Blessings, can't wait to hear from you.
Hello -- I didn't post a review of Julie & Julia on my blog so the last movie is still there. No wonder you were confused. I'll try to email you so you can get in touch.
My blog link is: http://ellenkimball.blogspot.com
(Pls. cut and paste -- Google is so out of date!)
You'll find YOUR blog linked on the right hand column under "Today's Interesting Blogs." I don't have a heck of a lot of traffic very frankly.
Tonight I am all thumbs. I have to make chicken breasts somehow and fix a HUGE ZUCCHINI someone gave me. I really haven't a clue. I did buy a garlic press today, and THAT was a BIG deal!
Cordially,
Ellen Kimball in Oregon
